Vehicle owners across the country were shocked, Why?

If you are also a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler owner, then this news is very important for you.  Let us tell you that the rules are becoming more strict to prevent pollution from the car.  To get insurance renewal for a car or two wheeler, it is very important to have a document.  Without this, there will be no insurance.  Now it will be mandatory for the customer to give a Pollution Under Control Certificate i.e. PUC to insurance companies for insurance of vehicles.  Insurance regulator IRDA has asked the insurance companies to strictly follow the Supreme Court's decision.

This is the rule of insurance of vehicle

IRDA has issued an order saying that no vehicle will be insured if the vehicle owner does not have a pollution certificate.  IRDA has issued a circular about this on 20 August 2020.  It said that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has expressed concern about the status of observing the aforesaid instructions of the Supreme Court in Delhi and NCR.  The Supreme Court has directed that this rule should be strictly followed.  This should be given special attention in Delhi NCR.

PUC is a certificate which states that the pollution control standards arising from vehicles are met.  Pollution standard levels are set for all types of motor vehicles in the country.  Once a vehicle successfully succeeds in a PUC check, the vehicle owner is provided with a certificate.  With the help of this certificate you get to know that the pollution of your vehicle is at a fixed level.  They are not harmful to the environment.  According to government regulations, all vehicles are compulsorily required to obtain a valid PUC certificate.

Under the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019, which was issued last year, violation of PUC norms will attract a fine of Rs 10,000.  However, the new Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act is yet to be implemented across India.  PUC certificate is mandatory for all vehicles in India.  Praveen Chaudhary, head motor insurance gentleman of PolicyBazaar.com, said that a PUC certificate is required after one year of vehicle registration.  It has to be renewed from time to time.
